Criterion Convergence VI:
Language of Transformation

October 1-3, 2008

New York, NY

Criterion Ventures convened its network October 1-3, 2008 at the newly opened Desmond Tutu Center in New York City.  At Convergence, a dynamic group of people from our network came together to meet each other, bridge interest areas, and script growth and change.  We enjoyed two days worth of intentional conversations designed around participants’ work, passions and the narratives that convert socially-oriented ideas and designs into concrete change.

Foundations and nonprofit leaders, social entrepreneurs, political activists and communications specialists discussed topics ranging from politics to brain science, from spotting innovation to online collaboration, and from vocation to social investing.

Participants left Convergence with a sense of hope, alliances that will nurture work, and tangible steps forward.  Our conversations lead to actions, opportunities explored and vetted, and connections ready to inspire something new.
