The Women Effect Investments initiative (WEI) seeks to shape the capital markets to maximize opportunities to positively impact the lives of women and girls. WEI is expanding investment opportunities with a gender lens and invigorating investors to move significant capital toward investments that generate social and financial return. We are doing this because when women are economic agents, social change accelerates and returns multiply. The returns of investing with a gender lens can be measured in our families, our communities and on the other side of the world. This is The Women Effect.

The field of investing with a gender lens is nascent, and WEI works to support growth and coordination of the space. To do this, we focus on two key drivers of this field. We are creating a community of investors supportive of gender lens investing and cultivating as well as strengthening investment vehicles with a gender lens…

Convergence XII: Investing with a Gender Lens

3 PM on Wednesday, September 5, 2012
to 4 PM on Friday, September 7, 2012

The Simsbury Inn in Simsbury, Connecticut

Convergence is Criterion’s signature event. It is a unique gathering of the catalytic change-makers from our network. Convergence XII convenes the leaders and pioneers in the gender lens investing space – the women and men committed to realizing the opportunities that a gender lens can unveil across investing communities.

There will be no speakers, no workshops – just extraordinary conversations among folks actively engaged in gender lens investing, social capital markets and issues around women and gender. As always, Convergence will be designed around participants – to reflect the interests, passions and current focuses of work that they bring. We look forward to having you join us.
