Online Event: Insights and Invitations

For 23 years, Criterion Institute has remained steadfast to expanding possibilities for how finance can be used for systems change and, as ever, our progress has been deeply rooted in the partnerships we’ve built. We are able to continue on this journey because of the unwavering support and generosity of our partners. As we navigate through the last quarter of 2024, we find ourselves reflecting on what we have accomplished together.

Our partners aren’t afraid of challenging the status quo and are willing to use their power to accelerate change. A few years ago, we organized the first Insights and Invitations event to celebrate them and shine a light on Criterion’s unique approach to creating systems change for those curious about how we might work together.  We are continuing the tradition and are delighted to invite current and potential partners to our bi-annual event to celebrate these partnerships and begin meaningful conversations about future collaborations.

The organizations we partner with recognize that systems change takes years. It isn't accomplished by a single deliverable or a day of training, although that might be how it starts. But there is reason to celebrate: we are having extraordinary success right now in shifting how power is seen in investments, and working with partners on pathways to a more hopeful future, using finance to create social change. We have proven that you can finance the reduction of gender-based violence. We helped build the field of gender lens investing and are shifting narratives in the field to make it work for everyone.

While we are clear-eyed about the reality of what it takes to do this work, we have always had hope because we know change is possible. This free event is your invitation to join us, meet other progressive organizations doing complex systems work, and expand your imagination about how finance might be used as a tool for change.
