Our (usually free) in-person and online events bring together social change leaders to co-design innovations, uncover pathways to action across sectors, and learn together about systems change and strategies for using finance to transform the status quo.
Join usCriterion operates through sustained, deepened partnerships that make it easy for us to deliver on the five pillars of our strategic plan.
We help governments, investors and social change organizations navigate the dark, choppy waters of systems change, tethered by rigorous, deeply-researched tools and frameworks that illuminate a brighter future ahead – and a clear way to get there. We have hope in change and know it's possible because we've created it.
Our partners understand that shifting deeply-entrenched power dynamics can’t be done with a single training session or published report (although that might be how it starts). Our most successful engagements span years, not months, and involve close collaboration within one of our six approaches, designed around audience needs and market opportunities.
We are currently in the midst of advancing some remarkable change around how power is seen and addressed in our financial systems, supported by a deeply competent and committed team and a strong base of partners. We hope our work sparks your thinking about what might be possible together and invite you to have a further conversation about how the change we are creating aligns with your impact goals.
Our fully remote team is made up of paid and volunteer members who have joined our community from diverse sectors and disciplines at all stages of their careers. We have also recently launched an innovative fellowship program, designed to give social changemakers a six-month induction into our systems change approaches. We champion flexible working policies and strive to make up our team with people who represent our globally diverse audiences. If you would like to get involved with Criterion’s work, get in touch with Janet Schieferdecker.
We are excited to know more about you and look forward to being in touch! Our newsletters focus on our social change strategies and efforts to transform relationships of power in finance. Additionally, we send communications related to specific programs, events or projects, such as our work on gender-based violence.
