Women’s experience and perspectives as land inheritors have been not fully understood in agricultural financing. We need to better understand the patterns and particular dynamic of inheritors and the strategies for financing opportunity for women inheritors.

There is a gender dynamic in women-land owners who inherit their wealth which may affect the finance industry (specifically agricultural finance) and how decisions about asset management are made. We need to consider the patterns in wealth, when women own land – their preferred outcomes, goals, stewardship interests, sustainability focus, and advice requirements.
