In 2021, Criterion Institute and Tiedemann Advisors published an extensive report on strategies for private investors to address gender-based violence (GBV). The Catalytic Strategies approach is for investors in private markets who are willing to apply patient, flexible, risk-tolerant, and appropriately termed capital in pursuit of positive outcomes. Given the nascence of investing to mitigate and prevent GBV, catalytic capital can play a critical role in shaping new investment ideas and reform systems of inequity. Here, we offer ideas under two broad strategies.
