In 2021, Criterion Institute and Tiedemann Advisors published an extensive report on strategies for private investors to address gender-based violence (GBV). The Values-Aligned approach is primarily for investors in public markets. It often starts with a passively managed public equity or fixed income portfolio, where then the investor has agency in electing what industries, sectors, or companies are screened out (negative screens) and/or what positive attributes or tilts are applied so that the resulting allocation is a better expression of their values.
